Description
3M™ VHB™ Tape Max Promoter is an adhesion promoter specifically engineered for use with the 3M™ VHB™ Tape Max Series of double-sided acrylic foam tapes. Its primary function is to increase bond strength and accelerate adhesion build-up, helping achieve maximum bonding performance in demanding industrial applications.
The promoter is designed for use on medium surface energy (MSE) and high surface energy (HSE) substrates, where it significantly improves the adhesion of 3M™ VHB™ Tape Max products. Since substrate characteristics and paint systems can vary considerably, application-specific testing is recommended to verify performance.
3M™ VHB™ Tape Max Promoter can be easily applied using a wetted cloth, dauber bottle, brush, or swab, ensuring precise application with minimal product waste. After a drying time of approximately 5 minutes, the surface is ready for tape application.
In addition to enhanced bonding performance, the product contributes to a safer working environment as it carries no GHS08 health hazard classification, offering an advantage over certain conventional adhesion promoters.
