3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Potting Compound 270 is a rigid, two-part epoxy potting material with a 1:1 mix ratio, developed for potting (encapsulation) and bonding applications where stability, mechanical strength, and protection from external influences are critical. It features a long 70-minute work life, allowing precise positioning and adjustment of components during assembly.

The material reaches handling strength in approximately 3 hours and shows fast strength build-up at room temperature. It is particularly suitable for protecting heat-sensitive components, helping to preserve electrical conductivity and insulation properties. The compound is non-corrosive to copper and has been tested to UL94 HB flammability standards, making it suitable for electrical and electronic applications.
