3M™ Cubitron™ II Cloth Roll 784F is an advanced abrasive belt engineered for low to medium pressure applications, particularly on stainless steel and other exotic alloys, including carbon steel, cobalt chrome, and nickel alloys. Powered by revolutionary 3M Precision Shaped Ceramic Grain, it delivers exceptionally fast cutting, longer belt life, and reduced heat generation during grinding and finishing.
The precision-shaped ceramic grain continuously fractures into sharp cutting edges that slice through metal rather than plowing or gouging like conventional abrasives. This results in faster material removal and significantly less heat build-up in the workpiece, helping reduce discoloration, oxidation, and heat-related stress cracks. Because the abrasive stays cooler and sharper for longer, this abrasive belt provides extended service life, fewer belt changes, and lower operating costs.
The Y-weight polyester backing ensures durability in industrial environments, while the resin bond provides reliable performance under moderate heat and pressure. An integrated grinding aid further enhances cool cutting and contributes to a consistent finish throughout the life of the product.
